 Emirates First Class

I recently indulged in the luxury of a first class Private Suite(available on several routes now on particular aircraft). I fly regularly and like most, find long hauls tedious, but must say that this was a pleasant experience! What a difference – true privacy in a beautifully equipped space. A generous fully-reclining seat meant a proper sleep (something I rarely manage in-flight). Keeping up appearances was a breeze with a vanity desk complete with illuminated make-up mirror. I usually read or work in-flight, but allowed myself the distraction of the 23inch LCD screen with access to over 600 channels. The private minibar and the generous storage options (I made good use of my coat closet) were much appreciated. Apart from privacy, my favourite feature was access – through a booking system – to one of two immaculate bathrooms – makes all the difference arriving freshly showered and perfumed (especially if someone is meeting you on arrival!). Must mention the food (with full service to your suite at any time!) – the impeccable a la carte menu was complemented by a very fine wine list and service throughout the flight was delightfully discreet and polished.
